Description: Romsey is located in the south west of Hampshire between Southampton and Winchester with a population of around 17,000 residents and contains the villages of Braishfield, Lockerley, Michelmersh and Mottisfont to name but a few.

This historic market town lies next to the River Test at the lower end of the Test Valley, where you can enjoy a relaxing walk. The small shopping streets offer a great variety of individual tastes and better-known brands, along with the lively street markets held in The Cornmarket on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The main attraction to Romsey is the magnificent Romanesque Abbey, built in the 12th and 13th centuries as the final church of the Benedictine nunnery that had been founded in Saxon times. Other attractions include Romsey Heritage Centre, King John's House and Garden, Broadlands House, and The Romsey Rapids.
