Description: Winchester Cathedral is located in Winchester City in Hampshire, with Its origins dating back to the 7th century, when a Christian Church was first built on this site.

The Cathedral is just a few minutes walk from the main high street along a tree lined pathway. Visitors can explore inside the cathedral which is normally open from 8.30 to 6.00pm every day, but services may cause certain areas to be closed at times, so it is best to check in advance of your visit.

Various tours of the cathedral are available and there is an excellent visitors centre with a shop and restaurant.
